Stories Still Being Written

Writing has always been another way for me to make sense of the world—to hold onto memories, follow questions, revisit the roads behind me, and occasionally disappear into a story that leads somewhere unexpected.

Some of my work is rooted in lived experience: family, music, loss, reinvention, humor, identity, and the strange collection of moments that become a life. Other projects belong to the imagination, where shadows stretch farther, cities become characters, and the truth sometimes arrives wearing a trench coat.

Whether I am writing from memory or invention, I am drawn to the same thing: the human story beneath the surface.

Memory, Reflection & the Life Behind the Stories

For many years, I have been gathering the pieces of an autobiographical project that now spans several decades and hundreds of thousands of words.

It is not simply a record of what happened. It is an exploration of how memory works, how experience changes meaning over time, and how the person telling the story is shaped by the act of remembering it.

The project continues to evolve as new connections emerge between music, family, identity, grief, creativity, mental health, and the long road toward understanding who I have been—and who I am still becoming.

Fiction & Other Roads

Alongside the autobiographical work, I am developing fiction shaped by many of the same interests: memory, consequence, loneliness, mystery, moral ambiguity, and the hidden lives people carry behind familiar faces.

Among those projects is a noir detective story set in a timeless city of wet streets, dim windows, unanswered questions, and a man searching for someone whose disappearance may be far more personal than he understands.

Other stories will find their place here as they are ready to be shared.
